Ansel Adams black and white.

This is one of many amazing pictures of the famous photographer, Ansel Adams. I chose this picture because i really like how the movement of the water makes the mountains in the distance look so majestic and calm yet powerful and very beautiful. This picture almost makes you want to gaze into the distance. Ansel Adams was home-schooled until the age of nine because he didn't want formal education. He received any other form of education through his father, tutors, and the Panama Pacific Exhibition. Besides being a photographer, Adams was also a conservationist. His famous photo, "Monolith, The Face of Half Dome" was first taken April 17, 1927. He developed the famous and highly complex "zone system" of controlling and relating exposure and development. Ansel Adams died April 22, 1984 at the age of 82 by a heart failure that was caused by cancer. He will be remembered as the greatest photographer.

I love this picture because the abnormal colors in the sky make the picture even prettier. The view is gorgeous but the best part, i think, is the panoramic touch to the picture(:

 I also love this picture because the luminescent colors surrounded by the darkness in the background make the panoramic shot even better.

I'd like you to meet Vern. He is now 89 years old and is a very hard worker. He's been recommended to think about retirement plans but Vern strongly disagrees because he has worked for more than 20 years where he is at now. It has become a mentality to him to wake up every morning and follow the same routine he has done for many years and being part of work has made him happy as well. Sadly, the rust he gathers makes it difficult for him to do certain things on the job but he still preservers each day. One particular night, it was said that when a shooting star passes overhead at exactly 10pm, the first person to see that occur is granted a wish. Vern just so happened to see this shooting star. He wished to be able to keep working for the rest of his life... and so the wish came true for him. Everyday he carries a smile on his face early in the morning regarding the small rust he also happens to carry.

This picture is proof that not all black and white pictures are depressing. Showing not only mystery as to where this dark trail may lead to but wonder if there is such place on Earth.
